The large number of international tourists has led many gyms in Bali to adopt an open-space concept. These gyms feature wide open areas for functional training and calisthenics, often offering views of rice fields or the ocean. Many gyms in Bali follow this concept and usually provide additional facilities such as cafés and swimming pools.
Gyms with this concept are primarily aimed at international tourists, so their prices tend to be relatively high.
Hyrox classes
Spacious open-space gyms are ideal for Hyrox classes. The Hyrox sports competition is gaining popularity, and many international tourists enjoy participating in it. Gyms in Bali take advantage of this trend. Bali is the only province where some gyms offer Hyrox classes.
Ice bath facilities
Bali is also the only province where many gyms provide ice bath facilities. Ice baths are rare in gyms outside Bali, but in Bali, this facility is relatively easy to find. This is largely due to the many tourists from countries where ice baths are a common practice.
